And im all out of my tan paint now, I can cover the rest when I do the camo part of it. Time to let it set and dry up. Then onto who knows what. At the moment I have nothing but time to play and plan more.
Little late snack, last of my duck supply from last season. Also had a few bacon wrapped, sausage stuffed jalapenos from the local meat market. Turned out awesome. Now i need duck season to get here so I can restock!
Made quick work of stripping this down. I cant remember if it was solid rivets or pop rivets holding it to the side of the gunnels, Im thinking pop rivets would work fine right?
Tools required...
The green came right off. The blue must have been the original. It was on there pretty good...
well, here we go again with the stripping and grinding. Gonna have to order some rivets and figure a way to really brace this sucker in there good to support my weight and to maybe be able to stand on it.
not much of an update here, but I am trying to figure out how/where I will want my kayak to fit in this thing. I also brought the spashwell back out from the back yard. Looks like I will be burning the skin with some more paint stripper again. Im going to have to take the side walls out to get...
I appreciate the comment TN! Thanks. Got the inside done. Not much I can do to it now until I pull it into some cover and get an outside perspective of how it will actually look. The areas I plan on hunting eventually the most is the sawgrass in south florida so I think it should blend in fine...
thanks Decker, I was going for unique'ish. Something that will work and not be they typical stenciling.
Got the top side complete. Hoping to get the inside done today or tomorrow.
were both safe I think. Or are you saying our hunting spots are safe?
got the rest of the outside finished. Ill probably cover some of the transom with more aluminum, but I had to do it to see how it looks. Im out of tape and green rattle can so thats it for now. Once I get more...
Good point there 64, Ill have to do that.
I did get half the boat camo'd this morning. I like the way it turned out, admiral doesnt though. Owell, not her boat, That just means I can maybe talk her into another one that I can make pretty for her.
Not much done lately, but I did get some more paint to redo the transom and I sketched some lines on it to plan more on how I am going to use this aluminum on it. Also got the hin plate riveted into place on the transom starboard side.
If the flexing in at the top, that makes me think to check the bolts through the transom on the port and starboard sides. maybe the hard to see/get to ones at the top have loosened or the wood at the nuts has rotted allowing the nut to sink into it with the force of the motor? Just a thought...
Havnt left guys, just been on hold. Pulled the kayak out for some scouting new areas tomorow and found these...
Woulda been a bad ride! Gettin a spray bomb tonight for extra precautions.
On the boat side, looks like im not moving anywhere till next summer now so motor purchase is still on...

Thanks BWR and Decker!
I have found my layout build from a guy on another forum. He did a great job with
Before and after of his. It will take me time, but im not in a rush really.
his.
I think I saw someone post the break down here. Or maybe someone knows and can put it up. I'm looking for a 16 ft SS. Do we know exactly what's need or are we going of the more the merrier? When I get my laptop back I'll post a statement someone put up on my hunting forum that brings this up.
Got more paint in, and a few large flange rivets to hold it in. I have to pick up a few bolts to finish it up. Got my teething small one home with me today though so maybe next weekend! Also still need to do some touch up paint with a brush, And I still need to get that front deck secured down...
