Pour warm water inside the wetsuit and do a dock or shore start. Slows down the ingress of the cold water. Plenty warm that way without having a drysuit. With a drysuit, I've skied close to 0 degree F air temp. Use a cooler full of warm water to warm up hands and feet.

We use the snap cover ones almost daily at home (2 users 3-4 days per week). No issues. Costco is pretty cheap for their pods. 120 on sale now for $30. Just bought a box last night.
