The 3 cylinder 65 HP beginning in 1972 had the trim / tilt unit that will fit the 70 HP models.

The crankcase halves are a precision joint / fit.----No gasket to be found there at all.

Is OA743766 a Canadian serial # ??

No such thing as a 2 stroke ( in good condition ) that is hard to start.----In my opinion most folks are unaware of how to maintain older 2 strokes.----Never studied on how to start a motor.----Therefor the $$$$ 4 strokes with a computer are popular.

All of the 9.9/15 HP used 1 carburetor.

Look over the block very carefully.-----Any holes in the crankcase ?----Piece broke off a piston skirt will pop a hole in the crankcase.----
