Yes, I ran it about 15 or 20 seconds shut it off then pulled it over to the water and hooked it up to the water and ran it for about 3 minutes.

likely needs a new impeller now.

Didn't run it long enough for damage to occur, after putting on water hose pump worked just fine , good water flow from exhaust but will watch it. Thanks for the advise.

I suggest you inspect it.----Then replace the impeller!
