My teeth have been a problem for the past 10-15 years . . . I have about 9 implants and set to get a couple more soon. I'm starting to see that being old is spending 1/2 your time seeing various doctors.

Yes, my brothers had them done in the past 5-10 years . . . They told me it was a game-changer. :D I do know of one instance (extended family) that chose to go to the gym and work out shortly after the surgery . . . He had to have the knee re-done and is now unnecessarily impaired. :cautious:

IIRC - I got my shop manual straight from Mercury, so as to get the latest and greatest. Getting the right manual (and the latest version) does seem difficult though.

I went to the Orthopedic Dr. yesterday . . . (Same Dr. that did my mother's knees 20+ years ago) . . . And the Dr. said . . . "your knees are bone-on-bone" :rolleyes: . . . I was thinking that would be the case. I'm getting the left one done in December and the right one done in March. :giggle:

Yes, supposedly, but I do see some plastic parts involved in the flow, per the cooling system diagram. I ordered 6 gallons of the PG antifreeze to run through the engines.

I am pretty much all set for the season, so onto to winter ('Wintah' in Boston speak :ROFLMAO: ) I took out the LiFePO4 batteries and put the battery from the Whaler in their place. I used the camper canvas as my winter cover last year and it worked out OK, even with a heavy snow fall. So...

@alldodge . . . You must be thrilled to have turned the page on the Chappy and have basically a new Formula. Hopefully the steering issue will get sorted out soon. Do you have a local dealer for warranty support?

Congratulations, and welcome back to the Formula family of fine boats !!! :cool: :D I assume it is all the drive-by-wire stuff, similar to what I had with my Mercruisers. IIRC, the steering is the hydraulic/electric mix not cable-based, but you can certainly verify such. The question may be...

Probably a learning experience . . . for both parties. I've always spared the seller of the details, unless they ask for such, and just focused on what I want them to fix. TMI, can/does muddy the waters.

AutoPilot Update . . . With a little help from the re-power guy (shop) via some emails back & forth, I was able to get the autopilot configured (so it seems). I won't be able to test it until Spring time, but the Optimus is now showing up on the Garmin with the three autopilot icons...
