    Just cant figure this out...

Don't feel bad, the primer bulb is one of the last things thought about when an issue arises. If suspect, best to replace the whole fuel line with a new bulb. Forget buying those gray fuel lines from walley world or other discount places. Go to NAPA and get good quality fuel hose and make...

2020 150hp possible fuel related issue

Didn't look terrible....? Any concern at all should have been a call for further testing. As you noticed, walking back to the dock after your motor quits is not a viable choice. Your safest bet is to pump out the fuel tank and check for water which be be near the bottom. Another option is...

    Aluminum vs stainless props

I have found the best overall performance comes by adjusting pitch so your motor runs at max rpm when running light load with one person. On my boat, I prop so the wot rpm is slightly over by 200 rpm. Yes I watch my tach closely when by myself. What this does is gives me better performance...

    Aluminum vs stainless props

Basically....proper pitched aluminum props are designed for general use, and cost effective, most motors under 109 up use them unless your running for optimal performance. Then the SS props come into play. Usually used for performance type motors. They do stand up Vetter to sand and other...

What ? , Really, what is with this trailer?

Why would anyone ave the ribs perpendicular to the supports ? I agree with a AI generated pic. Ribs on hull would wear thru quickly...gotta be an illusion or trick picture. Then again there are some real Bozo's out there !

    New grey fuel line

Same old story, buy the best and your done or keep replacing it every year. The price of two junk gray hoses will cover the cost of a quality A1 fuel line that will last for many years.

    Rebuilding for outboard

Stringers and other structure supports under the floor are going to be rotted out unless recently replaced. Boats rot from the bottom up. Far less costly to replace the boat with the one you want. If you choose to continue with this total rebuild, keep in mind, no one will want it after so it...

    I can not believe

It all books down to the cost if owning a boat. Pay the price or fab your own like many do. Nothing cheap about owning a boat unless you can do everything yourself.

    stupid question - trailer lights

I hear ya, been dragging trailers for over 60 years and can recount many times poor connections got me in trouble. Some time back, I said enough Is enough. Bought spools of wire so each run would be one solid wire with no connections except the fixture it was connected to. Then used sealed...

Had to call 911 the first time in my Life

There is such a thing as to much water...sent they that a couple summers back. We were in a two week long hot spell and I was drinking all kinds of water, but having dizzy spells and loss of memory. As it turned out, I was flushing all the sodium ( electrolites) out if my system. Switched...

Bilge Plug & bilge pump placement

That does work and it gets the water out fast ! My old Lyman had a screw in plug and boy did it get water sucked out fast. My only concern would be your plug slipping out while underway from the water pressure at the stern. That is where a screw in plug might be a safer bet.

Bilge Plug & bilge pump placement

Why not us a hose and let the pump empty the water overboard then their us no issue. Having the pump put water in the bilge then have to empty that bilge seems like extra work for nothing.

    Intermittent starting

Full charge on each battery means 12.6v minimum ! Have you done a load test? Batteries can show full charge with no load, then fail when a load is put on them. Load test needed for sure.
