    True, but 0.6" at WOT probably isn't an issue. No turbo that you're not telling us about, right? I'm still looking at the initial screen shots, I don't know if those rec files are readable without diacom. @muc I was looking at the timing at 3k rpm (29') vs 4k/4300 (20')

    I don't... He was saying he thinks he has increase fuel consumption because of his vacuum being low (and posted a table). I didn't think that was his problem

    That doesn't explain your fuel consumption. Your vacuum looks ballpark once you get off idle. And unless you have the specs, you're just guessing that it remains off throughout the rpm range.

    Vacuum should decrease with throttle. At WOT it should approach zero.

    Your manifold pressure is going the wrong way. At idle was the vacuum steady? You said you replaced TMAP, is that the MAP sensor? That would be my initial thought, or intake restriction somewhere. Is your throttle opening all the way? Fuel trim is good, which means that whatever air it thinks...

    Much easier when hanging, but possible without. Raising/lowering the front with a hoist is much quicker than turning the adjusters individually a turn at a time.

    Where did the mercruiser #'s come from? scott's link looks like the VPs are closer to your current setup than the stock OB setup. Anybody have the skill to overlay all 4 graphs? Ted, do you have a GPH graph of your new setup yet? Also interesting on the VP test that there isn't too big of a MPG...

    Only thing I don't like about removing the lags is messing around with a penetration into wood. Mine are gooped in there pretty good with 4200 now.

    Yup, I also assumed carb initially and rebuilt it yet again. If you don't have one for your 'rude (and if it's a CDI type system), definitely get a DVA. Nearly impossible to troubleshoot properly without one. The merc also has a spark at the plug, but very weak. About to (hopefully) fix it with...
