    Ford 302 oil leak

    My 1971 Mercruiser 888, Ford 302, 188hp, has developed an oil drip at the front. Oil is not flinging aroung, so I think it is the front oil seal that needs replacing. Can you direct me to a diagragm or procedure to do this? It looks like it can be done without pulling the engine.

    Starts but won't keep runnung

    I have just disassembled and cleaned on old shift/trottle box on a 1958 35hp Johnson OB. Any recommendations for a lubricant to use when reassembling? Seloc just says to use a "light lubricant" and not a hard grease. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Dip stick oil leak

    I'm restoring a 1971 Trisonic, ford v8 188hp, R outdrive. I have a small oil leak from the dip stick holder at the oil pan. It looks like it is seeping from between the metal plate that is rivetted to the pan and the pan. Can this be sealed with something?

    erratic gas guage

    I am restoring a 1971 Mercury Trisonic, Ford 302 v8, pre-Alpha(?)outdrive. One gas tank is original and not in use. The other looks new, plastic. However, its gas gauge varies in its reading, showing sometimes 1/4 full, somtimes 1/2 full, even though the tank is full. Any ideas?
