    What would the Hertz indicate anyway? Because it is getting at least 150 does that indicate that Hertz are correct? I'll check around for loose connections.

    Ah, that actually makes sense from what I've been reading. Now I don't see a filter sponge on the schematic. When I look up the Volvo Penta PN 3843750 it doesn't show up. From what I see it is an easy replacement, but any advice you can offer would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Thanks so much.. I'm a bit intimidated by the spraying of starter fluid around, but I'll make the injectors my next project! If there was an air issue, would a fuel pressure test on the rail determine that as well? Maybe a fuel regulator as well? I actually have two new Bosch ones to throw in.

    Hello, it's a 2008 5.7gi-300-j. The surge in rpm is me throttling up then back to idle very quickly. Getting the injectors cleaner and serviced was on the list, you think this almost stall is because of a dirty injector?

    Just to add to this, mine has a metal rod that connects to the impeller housing. Unfortunately, that has to come off to change the belt on mine. Just removing the hoses isn't enough. I have a gi-300-j.

    Hi all, I'm looking for an alternative to the OEN (Volvo Penta 3884950) for a gi-300-j. My understanding is that it is a 75amp, There are some Valeo models on Amazon, but a few reviews say it is not marine spec. Any suggestion?

    I have an 08 Cabrio 330 and can confirm that each motor draws from it's own tank. I have noticed that my stbo motor burns a wee bit more fuel then the port one though, so the gauges are never even. Apparently the gauges can't Soley be relied upon as well.
