Bow Thruster with terminal fuse blown

This is what I have: https://www.bluesea.com/products/7610/SI-ACR_Automatic_Charging_Relay_-_12_24V_DC_120A It's just the one red from starter battery into the ACR, then out of the ACR to the bow thruster battery.

Bow Thruster with terminal fuse blown

The cable running from the starting battery is for charging is what I gather. The bow thruster isn't running from that battery as it has its own, so that 6 guage should be enough. It was almost like it was pulling the bow thruster load from that starter battery, but I can't see how that would...

Bow Thruster with terminal fuse blown

Hi all, recently had a 2.2kw Lewmar 140TT bow thruster installed. Yesterday when going to use it, noticed that it wasn't working due to low voltage. After some investigation, I found that there was a blown 80amp terminal fuse on the starter battery. Now I have made a rough diagram and have...

    Noise after impeller change

There isn't any water leaking and temps are good, so I may just leave it considering the boat is already in the water and changing one of these probably requires it to be out.

    Noise after impeller change

Roger. While I have you, I'm trying to figure out the purpose of it. So the raw water pump that houses the impeller feeds this thing, which then pumps water throughout the block? It doesn't have an impeller or other regular maintenance item does it??

    Noise after impeller change

Alright, so I couldn't let this go and purchased a mechanics stethoscope and seem to have discovered it is coming from the circulation pump (Volvo Part # 3853850). Is this a bad bearing or something? Should I be replacing this right away?? Thanks!

Fair enough. Thanks for the tip. Any advice for getting them on and off a barbed fitting?

    Overvoltage error on Kohler Generator

Just wanted to report back. Replaced the silicon controlled rectifier and that fixed the issue. The voltage regulator on these units regulates only DC output.

    A/C unit hose

Hello, currently have MPI 3/4 ID hardwall and reinforced hose running from seacocks to strainer, then from strainer to AC water pump. The hose is the black and Green striped one. It's difficult hose to work with and replace, after I removed the section from the strainer to the pump to get at...

Running cable from helm to panel in a cabin on a 350 cabrio. Anyone have any schematics. Up over the arch the only option?

What are you hooking up? I have a 330 Cabrio. On my starboard side, right before you get to the aft berth area, I have a small closet. In that closet is am access panel for the wires running to the helm. I'd route through there then someone back over to the port side.

conversion to electronic ignition for Volvo penta-5.7 GXI-J

Are you meaning how to convert from mechanical throttle and shift to electronic? I have these same motors and would be curious as well if possible.

Ah that's too bad. I didn't go local and reached out to corporate customer service for my stuff. Anyway, good luck!

    How to drain tilt-trim system

New one comes with lines and 90 degree fittings attached. Tell them you have water leaking in. There is a white plug thing on the old ones that is defective and allows water in and fluid out. Maybe yours is leaking as well?? I just needed to give then my drive and engine serial numbers.

    How to drain tilt-trim system

Yeah the flatter one that doesn't have the plug issue. My boat is a 2008 and they never batted an eye.

    Won't idle

So many things. Fuel pumps and pressure okay at the rails? Fuel regulator clogged with paint?

    How to drain tilt-trim system

Just went through this. First thing I did was contact Volvo and they sent me a new pump cover. The 1st gen is a known defective issue. I then had the trim cylinder rebuilt at a local machine shop. They replaced all gaskets and seals. The old ones dry out and crack, and I suspect that is where...

    Overvoltage error on Kohler Generator

Just an update. I replaced the voltage regulator to no avail. I have been directed to the silicone controlled rectifier but the manual doesn't say anything about the SCR for over voltage errors. Any thoughts?

Oil sheen in water after start up

Could be fuel from a stuck injector. Change the plugs recently?
