    I've been emailing them and they replied that the J series (even though mine were made in 2007) takes the CAN style as you just found out. In my opinion, we are lucky as that is the upgraded one is my understanding. I think it fits more applications too?

    I was actually just checking these out. There is a different adapter for years 2007 and then 2008 onward. My boat is a 2008, the engines are 5.7L GI-300-J. I'm probably thinking manufactured in 2007. Any way to check this? It isn't on the serial number tag.

    Well I went the route of pinching the fuel line, then changing them out. I've never had this issue before, but the boat is on a slight incline now that it is on blocks so that may be the cause. I can't see the anti-siphon being removed, but who knows.. maybe one was never put on..
