    Different Information in different places?

    I have the VP operators manual for the AQ231A it says to use 10W30, ok I have been doing so. I just downloaded and printed off the VP Engine unit workshop manual AQ211, AQ231, AQ271, AQ311. In there it says to use: "SAE 20W50 (15W50)". I've also read contradicting max WOT range for my engine...

    280 DP Gear Ratio

    Wondering what the final ratio is for a 280 DP that was mounted on a 185 HP diesel? The seller doesn't seem to know... Its a ways so I can't go check it out myself. Also can you put one of those 290 or later DP prop cones on it? It only has a nut, but I think the cone looks better :D

    Is this normal?

    This prop only has around 10 hours bought brand new this summer. The burning is on all 3 blades in the same spot. Seems to me to be excessive for such low hours...

    Difference between AQ271 and AQ311

    Both are GM 350's except the 271 makes 275 hp @ 4600 rpm and 311 makes 307 hp @ 5200 rpms. Whats the difference that makes more power? Is it the higher redline for the 311? is it built and carbed any differently?

    Hi All I need some guidelines. My AQ231A Ran fine but now all of a sudden wont start. The starter itself doesnt do anything when you turn the key. Everything else works when ignition is on including the trim pump. I'm hoping its something simple. Any suggestions? Thanks
