    Oldboat1 no when I took it out before I noticed the same thing with the same motor before I put the transport wheels on.

    is this the correct prop? Also curious as to how the 2 blade prop will damage the motor does it put too much stress on the engine at high rpm ?

    So my prop has spun on my 1971 evinrude 9.5 and I decided to replace it with a 2 blade from a 1970 6hp fisherman. The 9.5 had the original 3 blade prop so what can I expect in terms of speed to anyone who has done this before. It’s temporary but I’d be curious to know if it’s a real drastic...

    Well I just through on a prop from another 9.5 I found laying around and a new pin and it ran great no slipping at all in both gears. Seems like this should have done it thanks guys

    Hey everybody today I got a 1971 9.5 evinrude that seems to slip out of gear when running at high Rpms. Once in foward gear the prop will spin fine until I hit about half throttle and the prop stops spinning but the lever is still engaged into foward same for reverse. Once I return to idle it...

    Thank you guys for the input I’m just going to purchase a new lower unit for this motor I’ll try to get some pics of the crack it looks like it should be able get welded just fine
