    I don't have a way to test it at the moment. I do not believe a piston is broken as the motor runs fantastic once it starts and I can even Idle the motor down when in gear. Issue is soon as I drop out of gear and try to idle it dies aft about 3min our as soon as I shift it into gear..

    I have a bow rider that has basically no access under the floors. I have only had it out three times about a hr each time and once for two hours. ..after each trip water is built up in the bilge about ten gallons at least over two hour trip...I can't find where the water is coming from...I do...

    My boat has some bow damage and if I should just add some new fiberglass resin to it and a couple coats of fiberglass... Or is there something better I could use?

    I have just gotten a boat with a 1986 Johnson 110hp engine that runs 50/1 fuel ...I don't have a marina to fill up at ...can I just pore oil in the tank than gas...should I pre mix it in gas cans? What do you guys do?

    Garmin striker SV vs CV for quick draw lake mapping

    Do any of you use either the Garmin striker SV or CV as sonar? I know SV is side veiw and CV is more detail narrow cone. Main question is does the SV work better for mapping in shallow water. I want to chart a river between 3-15ft deep and a lake goes down to 100ft.

    I know the stock maps can but my rivers stock maps show 40ft and I know that's way wrong. I am looking more at mapping it myself with like Garmin quick draw.

    So just look for floaters, dead heads, and chicks that dig scars is the moral of this thread hahaha:-) The information on the cone of mapping size is good though...My river is allegedly 3-10ft deep but no one has any good maps...so the channel is supposedly good for a long way if you know...

    So turns out I don't have a pump at the moment but the wire to for it is still in the boat. Its a brown wire from the control switch and goes straight to the back of the boat. I will try to get my hands on a new bilge pump. Here are pictures I promised earlier.
