    I checked and you were right the fuel pump diaphragm was bad. I have one on order may take a bit to come in then all report back..

    The key is in place, I think you maybe on to something with the fuel pump as the lines were bad so my guess is that's probably bad too. All see if I can figure out how to get it apart.

    1993 Bayliner capri 1750 vs 1998 Larson 186sei

    1998 Larson 186sei 1988 Johnson 225hp- Rebuilt 2014 with Paperwork. Is what its listed with and it does have 225 on engine. Must be after market as its older than the boat...All have to double check it is not over the rated horse power.

    I am new to boats and looking at two really good looking boats a bayliner for 1500 and a larson for 2000. Which one would you guys go with I have heard bad things about bayliners but not sure on larsons. The bayliner is a inboard 3.0 Mercuiser and Larson is a outboard Johnson 225hp.

    I used really fine sand paper and then tried again, I got spark lower that time. I played with the point till I got both plugs to spark. My gap is pretty much right at .020. The capacitors mush be good I think main issue is point adjustment and cleaning. I was try large grit sand paper but...

    I did try cleaning both points and it got the top to fire but I can't get the bottom still...All try again maybe see if there's a way to take the points off on the bad side. Do you know the part number for condenser I tried the one written on it and its not showing up...
