    Would not be surprised to have a broken crankshaft on a running motor The snout will fall off when you remove #1` bearing cap.

    Customer has no paper work on this boat or engine, The belt is missing? customer is not totally honest on what took place either. Its a V6 Metric cast oil pan. PS low on the port side and alt high on the port side. Can anyone supply a number off their motor. Thanks

    inline 4 cylinder use a 1.98-1 except for the FWC 470 type it uses a 1.84 V6 uses a 1. 65 or 1.84 smal block V8 use 1.50 in Alpha drives BB in Alpha uses 1.32 but have since shifted to Bravo drives

    Or you could have a screen INSIDE the pickup tube. You can get a fitting for the carb to accept a barbed fitting,So get the elec pump .put some alligator clips on it some barbed fittings and some hose

    Broval 1 outdrive won’t go down, no noise from trim pump

    Jump the 2 large lugs on the solenoid, green for down, blue for up . Motor should run in both directions. Then take a jumper from the + battery and touch the small green and blue wires in the solenoid, motor should run in both directions, Solenoids and motor are good.

    not thru a common ground point, a strap from neg to neg and thats where you connect the neg from the motor to the neg of the battery terminal

    install the dist cap to locate where #1 is on the cap and set rotor to that position slight CCW of the exact position. rotor will turn CW as it drops in to the oil pump with rotor facing #1 pin in the dist cap

    Do you have the flat cap and is it computer controlled? If yes ,you install the dist with the rotor in a certain position with number 1 at TDC compression and the timing mark at 0 on the balancer and the computer does the timing

    If the alignment iis correct, the drive will easily slip on . That said ,review your work. I can have a measurement for you tomorrow from face of gimbal to edge of housing.
