    2000 yamaha 130 hp. Possible to remove trim unit with motor bolted to boat? I got the upper pin out and the unit moves away from the transom but is there enough room to pull the whole thing out of there?

    2001 130 hp . Mounted on boat. Any tips on how to replace the trim motor without removing the engine from the boat? I know I'll have to use the release valve to tilt it up and put it on its tilt lock.

    I just checked it out. I disconnected the motor wires and ran power to them. I can get the motor to spin briefly by tapping on the body of the motor. Safe to say it's the motor?

    So this motor uses an up relay and a down relay. Seeing as it won't go up or down just a click from each relay does that point to the relays being ok?
