    Looking to put a trim guage in my dash but the wood is so thick I won't have any room to put the retainer on the back. I was looking at yamaha specific trim guages and they are a lot longer. Maybe go that route?

    Yes round connectors. I had to get these adapters shown below. Tach and oil status work fine.

    Wasn't aware that you can set the tach for trim sender wires. If you zoom in you can see the tach better

    2001 yamaha 130 v4 2 stroke. Just installed. Idle is low. I ran it on muffs. If I run it in a barrel is that the same as running it in a lake? Just concerned with setting the idle mixture screws and idle speed before I take it out in the river. Thanks

    So without knowing how this motor ran before I got it should I set all the mixture screws to spec (7/8 turn out) . When I cleaned the carbs I put the screws back to where I found them. Idle speed is too low 5 to 600 on the garden hose. I tried turning the idle speed screw but didn't sense much...
