Replacement Trim Hydraulic Pump for OMC Sterndrive

just google oildyne 108 hydraulic pump. you need 1200 psi on the lower and 2900 psi on the upper. I used a few of the DB electrical pump for testing at work and they appear to be nearly identical to the Parker Oildyne, however 1/4th the cost.

    My block is drained, right?

on a V-engine. the only cross-over point on the block is the water pump connections. everything below that is in their own pocket on the port or starboard side of the block. on the 4.3, this should be about 1/2 gallon that is left in each side that will need to be drained so something should...

are these gel coat cracks or something more serious? (pic included)

the gel cracks and the bead of caulk around the outdrive indicate that the transom has been rotten for a long time. to repair this, plan on removing both outdrives, both motors, the swim deck, all the interior on the deck. then replacing the transom, stringers, bulkheads, a portion of the...

    18ft aluminum boat v hull

handles look like old alumacraft. transom has been modified (cut down) can always use the CFR calculation to determine the maximum hp for a 18' tiller steer boat. just need the transom width. transom looks to be about 4.5 feet wide and under 20", so ~ 35hp

    My block is drained, right?

Mike, do you have a portable air tank? sometimes you can blow air into the port to clear out the debris the cylinder wall is only about 3/4" into the drain port. a bent wire can be fed in and turned. dont think I ever had a motor that didnt drain by probing with a wire.

    My block is drained, right?

how far in did you push the wire. there is usually a layer of sand/gravel/rust/dead fish in the bottom of the water jackets that you have to break up to get water out the drain plugs.

changing from a 2 barrel to a 4 barrel carburetor

my issue with aftermarket Holley EFI fuel systems is that they are only supported for about 5-8 years after they are sold...... then its so sorry, you must buy a new system. Been that way for nearly 30 years going back to the 2DI and 4DI pro-jection systems of the 90s. Its not just holley...

My last house in Wisconsin had my basement office window at ground level. the Jakes and Toms would come to the window and beat on it for my attention. I think it was like a trip to the zoo for them some feed corn on the back hill would keep them away from the windows..... also made it easier...
