    1990 Mercruiser 5.7L trouble starting

Most likely the carb needs work. Verify fuel is squirting. Make sure the choke works Being a 1990 cruisers make sure you do not have moisture in the transom and stringers Most cruisers boats of that era would have needed repair long before 2025.

Running New Style Merc 6.2L DTS on a Pallet ???

Ted, this is outside my realm of knowledge. I believe that DTS is CAN based and needs the network dragged over to run them. (speculating). I did recommend having a video of them running on the hard prior to pulling them. I can reach out to a former employee in the controls group at...

    Gm 4.3 blocks

you wont find a new block as GM moved from that platform in 2014. even the old SBC you wont find new GM blocks, only aftermarket your best bet is find a 2007-2014 GM truck and pull the motor. this is also about 1/3 the cost of rebuilding a motor. you can get a low mileage 4.3 from a late...

    93 Mariah engine mount

Nida is not far behind it. however in the case of a 90's boat, its an option. I personally would use ACX or BCX at $35 a sheet as it will last another 20-30 years and by then the boat will have been sold/replaced/etc.

    93 Mariah engine mount

Balsa is a great core material and still used today on many larger boats. the cockpit sole and the foredeck on my boat are all balsa core and even Ted's Cruiser has a balsa core foredeck dont focus too much on the current stringer and how it was fabricated. a single piece of 3/4" with a strip...

volvo pump paint came from the pump heat exchanger vendor that went to the tier 2 fuel system supplier for assembly. (same tier 2 supplier base that is used by other boat engine OEMs). its actually powdercoat and wasnt an issue for many years until E10 was used. how is any of that relevant to...

    Car door panel

the vinyl looks like it has torn on the edge. on most door cards, usually it wraps about an inch around the back side. the only two choices is a red-neck-engineer fix like you mention with silly-cone or other, or pull the door card and do it right by pulling the center out of the panel and...
