I'm wanting to change the impeller in my 1984 40hp evinrude model# E40RWCRA. I bought the impeller already. Do i need to change the impeller housing seal also? 2nd question. Is this change any different than changing the impeller on my 66 20hp Johnson? Thanks, Roy
I have a problem with my spark plugs. The gap keeps
closing on them. The motor had L77jc4 plugs. The boat shop gave me QL78YC. I dont know if the heads has been machined, but the QL plugs sit deeper in the cylinder and wont hold the correct gap. Do i have the wrong spark plugs? ... 1984...

The motor runs great, but the tiller handle doesnt open the throttle all the way. I cant move the timing plate anymore and the handle wont turn any further to get to open throttle. What can I do as far as any more adjustments or is something broke? Its a FD 22M.....Thanks, Roy
