    yamaha trim unit

    trim unit on Yamaha f 100 works fine when the unit is taken off the motor/bracket and hooked up to a battery. When installed back on the bracket/motor it will not lift the motor or do anything. Where do I need to start?

    tilt and trim unit works fine up and down when the unit is off the boat. When I put it back on the boat it will not lift the weight of the motor. Trim motor is new and fluid has just been changed. Any ideas what the problem could be?
