That pic before or after you ran it? Wrong bearing clearance will mess up a newly machined journal.
Are those rods not the ones that came out of that block, originally?
Something is wrong with the plug wires orientation or the timing light, or the wrong balancer or pointer. I don't think a sbc will run at 33 degrees.
The easiest way to check this is to get or make a piston stop. Take out all the spark plugs, put the stop in number 1 cylinder. Rotate the motor...
