Ok I got a 2000 Johnson 250 . One block wasn't fire n . So traced it back to shift assist switch . With iboats help . So now I installed a new switch all 6 cyl. Are firing but the switch is not engaging . Now that I think of it don't think it ever worked. So is there something I'm missing seems...
I was checking the compression on my motor . A 2000 Johnson 250 one with carbs . All between 105-110 so that was good . So I decided to check the spark n noticed no spark on half the engine . I'm think n maybe powerpack any other ideas or tests I can run

This is my 30" leg compared to my transom I just raised the engine all I could at the beginning of the season . Last year it used to throw a huge rooster tail at high speed but since I raised it up like 3" the wake looks way better

I have a 2000 Johnson 250 #j250vzsss I'm running a 17 pitch prop getting 5000 rpms should I drop the pitch to get a higher rpm or stay . Does anyone have this engine ? What's your wot rpm and prop pitch thx .
