I don't see any cracks in the coils.One coil does look newer.I sanded the contacts with 150 grit and sprayed carb cleaner.I don't know enough about points to tell if they were good are not.I gaped them at 20.Do I need to

What is the best way to get the flywheel off.I know it usually requires a special tool.will screwdrivers and a maiiet work.Do you have to take the 4 screws off holding the plate on top of the flywheel
I just got it at an estate sale saturday.I have no clue.Its a nice looking motor.I have the foot off changing the impeller.I pressurized it and it held 12lbs for 30 minutes .The foot grease had no oil in it.The fuel lines were hard and I do not imagine it has run in a very long time.I poured atf...
Sorry for the late reply .I finally got some new coils as mercury made some.I relaced both and the Ole 45 is running great thanks everyone for the help
