I'm a pragmatist, so I'd go with the one on the left with less white. Cooler in the sun and easier to keep clean!

Yup me too.

Hadn't though of the keep clean side. and is my mind wrong in thinking the color would absorb more heat from the sun making those sections hotter?

I'll also throw in - I think Wood has an optical illusion going and is laughing at us because there are equal amounts of color and white. With the exception of the skirt he's just playing with the spacing.

:redface:You're sure right about that! My brain must have been thinking backwards from frying under my deck earlier today! I'll still stick with the keeping-it-clean reasoning though.

Wood, I think your wife is right. The seating area will be cooler and the blue becomes an accent color. And it seems more vintage to me which is the theme of the Flamingo. Subdued Art Deco if you will. Gonna look great!

I like the wife's decision, and it also eleminates two seams, easier sewing fewer seams to fail. Looks great wood!

The white would have been my 1st choice just because of heat. It will really look nice and I'm sure this entire boat will be babied so grease and dirt wont come into the picture. Very nice color selections on both the boat and the seats. You are giving me ideas Mike....

Sounds like you're going to have an old fashioned work party this weekend! Great! That will really speed things up. Hope it all comes together & there's a lot of progress. You've got quite a network there...I live pretty far from most family, and the ones who are nearby would grind me to a complete halt if they helped! :D

Good luck with it!

See you got a crew. I know I'm getting old, but boy, does the captain look young!

Wood - the dash is too much. Wheel looks like it's out of a '55 Ford, tach looks like a speedo from a '50 Ford and it looks like a Mega Big Gulp cup holder in the center. You're going to have the coolest boat on the lake.

Did you teach him to make the motor noises?

Nice progress and it looks GREAT!

Is that a warning light next to the Bigulp holder?

We Started wiring again @9:00 am this morning. I got up @ 7:00 and got things organized and let my son sleep in since he was doing all the work.

MeAndBoat.jpg

We finsihed @ 2:00 this afternoon. My son did an excellent job. Everything Worked. We had a BIT of an issue figuring out how to make everthing work off the ignition but finally figured it out and it all works like a charm. I think she looks GREAT!!!!

We rolled her Outside to take some better Pics.

She still shines pretty good but needs a bath pretty bad. That will come tomorrow.
