I need a control for the 2020 Yamaha F115 I just purchased. Can anyone tell me the difference between a 703-48205 and 703-48207. Only difference I might be seeing is that the 48207 has another pigtail of wires coming out from it to maybe connect to a digital speedometer, while the other pigtail may go to the tach and possible to the tnt. Main harness of course, going to the engine! Can anyone clarify? Thanks!

The 703-48205 has long since been discontinued. Replaced by the 703-48207 control box.

Latest box has three wires for connection to a remote trim and tilt switch, four wires for connection to the tachometer, speedometer and fuel meter and a ten pin harness that connects to the motor.

Thanks Boscoe! Just had not been able to find much info on the 48207! I always see another couple of numbers after the 48207,?like 16, 20, etc. Thinking they would indicate the length of the 10 pin harness! Thanks again!

703-48207 is the base number. The first pair of dash numbers indicate a variant. Design change. Upgrade if you will. Latest is the -25-00.

There is a newer version of the 703 control box that includes a "press to shift" button. For those that feel the need for it.

Would all the 703-48207 controllers have the necessary 7 wires for the tach and speedometer! Looking at pics, it’s hard to tell for sure.

After doing further research, I found that I needed two additional harness’ to hookup the gauges! I’m almost there now, but still need a bit of clarification! There are two separate pigtails coming from the controller, each with a red, blue, and green! These merge, with red to red, blue to blue, and green to green ending in 3 female bullet connectors! These wires appear to me to be for power and the tnt! If this is correct, here lies my confusion; looking at the 10 pin diagram for the engine harness, does the harness not already include tnt, with the switch on the controller handle? Can you clarify this for me! Am I close or way off base? Thanks!

Some boaters want a third set of tilt and trim controls. Yamaha offers an optional switch that can be mounted at say the front of the boat. A harness runs from the switch to the extra leads coming from the 703 control box.
