99% of the sites that claim you can download are scam sites
Only wires it has is to the magneto/ distributor . I can see the flywheel from under and can't see any other wires that may be coming from the top . This year has a top cowling that is a chore to remove . The pull cord is encompassed into the top lid . Both the manual choke at the front top of the engine and the electric choke solenoid have to be removed to take the very top lid off . However . I don't see any wires at all coming down . I'm learning a ton from the posts on this forum . Appreciate your folks knowledge ! Thank you for any advice , feed back or guidance.It may have left the factory with a " plate / disc rectifier " often green in color.----Perhaps replaced with a newer style.--Any wires coming down from under the flywheel ?-----Pictures will help.
I am planning on doing that for sure . Apparently it was done recently however and unfortunately the previous owner , who I was told treated this like his baby , passed on and I don't have dates or engine hrs . The plug to remove the bolt under the trim tab looks pretty new . Just the same , I want piece of mind .I have a 1963 model 65 HP and a few others.----So no mystery on these wonderful motors here.----You must install a new water pump impeller BEFORE launching the boat !----There is no warning / shut down system on this motor.----It could overheat and score pistons.----Then it will be sticker shock looking for a new motor.
