Over the winter I discoverd a couple pinholes in the bottom of the rivited hull and had them weld a patch over the area. my question is does anyone think the hull will crack around the welds? I have had it out handfull of times since repair and has been fine no issues.

it looks like a good weld....i dont see it cracking.......however......pin holes in the weld due to contamination of the metal can really cause grief.

i had a few bad weld areas.....i epoxy fiberglassed it.....done !

Ayuh,.... Only if the patch creates a Stiff spot in the area, 'n if it gets a good poundin' all the time...

How thick is the patch,..?? how thick is the hull,..??

Hmmmmm,.... That might give me piece of mind, with My tin barge, just to get another lap outa it,...

Registration is good to 2013,...

Then I'll scrap it,... aluminum oughta be almost up to the current price of silver by then....
