Are we so concerned of pulling our troops out of Iraq with 3,300 troops killed in Iraq since the war started in 2003, that is only 1,100 per year.

Why are we more concerned of 1,100 troops killed in Iraq per year when we have six times that amount of our youth killed here in the United States. That's right, over 6,200 people 15-24 years old are victims of homicide each year. That is 18,600 in three years which equals 17 per day, that is more then troops killed in one day in Iraq. There is nobody protesting at our rotories or marching around Washington DC protesting the death of our youth. There are no Democrats or Republicans making public statements on how to curb the killings.

Re: WHY!!!

Yep, just shows you the real motives (for the anti-war crowd)...and you didn't even mention that the troops are paid and trained specifically to take those risks - the children are not.

I felt the same way after 9/11. Some much was made of that event, and yes it was very tragic and I'm not trying to make light of it, but more innocent people are killed by drunk drivers every quarter - with nowhere near the outrage...interesting huh...

Re: WHY!!!

Those seeking to gain control of our political system can not generate the needed public support by championing concerns for those dying young people.

Re: WHY!!!

Military body-counts have been politicized as they were in Korea and Veitnam wars. It aint "rocket surgery" . We tried to warn the majority of the cindys just as our fathers did did of the Tokyo Roses and Hanoi janes... Again, we have failed. Time to surrender to France or spain perhaps.
How do you win when the enemy controls the house?

What exactly does winning mean when you accuse the majority of the American people of being traitors?
The "enemy" that controls the house and senate is the legally and democratically chosen group of representatives of the American people.

Re: WHY!!!

I don't know why anyone would fall for the tried and true tactics of the left. I guess it goes to the fact that 70% of the country couldn't identify Dingy Harry or Lil' Nancy when shown their photo. Just under half of the country couldn't name the vice president. The lethargic reasons for why people vote for who they vote for is indeed dubious. Usually it is which candidate is buying which votes. And then complain about the deficeit.

Before Rudy, the murder rate in NYC was over 1000 a year. He cut it in half. I have yet to hear any lefty crowing about his success's in actual saved human lives. I can't imagine why. But if we have to, can we just surrender to the Russian's as they are more in step with the party in power right now.

"In 1980, there were 117 noncombat deaths per 100,000 service
members -- about 2,390 deaths out of 2.05 million service members. In
1996, there were 68 noncombat deaths per 100,000 servicemembers --
1,020 noncombat deaths out of 1.5 million servicemembers. Of those,
228 service members died in privately owned vehicle accidents and 190
service members committed suicide."

I exactly call it losing. Defeat. Ca-pit-you-lation. Take your pick. What do you call it? victory?
The "enemy" that controls the house and senate is the legally and democratically chosen group of representatives of the American people.
So was jimmy Carter, as was hugo chaveaz in his respective country, as was hilter. As was castro.
Calling them "the enemy" makes you a traitor of the democratic system that we the Americans chosen to live by
Calling them the enemy is calling them as I see them. I have that right (so far), and will continue to call them as I see them. They just dont have the onions to make their "non-binding resolution" a binding one,and force the military to defund and pull out, as is their expressed desire. Their mission of course, is to bring any defense we have left to it's knees before it can be effective. We still have military presence in Germany and Japan since world war two. What i cannot figure out is why you and your ellected droogies have not already insisted on them being "pulled-out" or "re-deployed". So what is your point? That I consider these elected traitors my last line of defense? This, while they give aid and comfort to my sworn enemy? What would you have me call those who fight for my enemy within my own country? Do you have a better "label" ?

That is 1100 troops a year (3300 troops total) too many.

Re: WHY!!!

Pointer94 makes a valid commentary on the voting masses. While it is every citizens right to vote,it is by no means a perfect nor efficient system for selecting the 'best' candidate for the task of office. In most cases it is required to have at least a high school education for a minimum wage job , yet voting for the most important position of our country requires no education standards, aptitiude,or knowledge of current events. He!! with the illegal issue running amuk ,it seems that citizenship is not high on the priority list either ,but rather a suggestion.
