Re: What's your Whaler?

I just bought a 1987 Outrage 18. It will be mentioned a few times in future threads, because it is a project boat. I am looking forward to refinishing that wood.

It has been a "long time acoming".

I bought my first whaler titled as a '69 Montuak but apparently it actually a Nauset. It has a 78 Johnson 85 that used to drive very well until somebody chewed up the prop. I am going to restore it over this winter but can't wait to share the pics. Any advice appreciated.

My 1987 Outrage 18" is now a great riding boat. Just resetting up the gauges and adding more wood.

The Montauk is the newer version and most identifiable of the 17' footers. You always see older 17' Whalers advertised as Montauks. Your boat is a great boat. If you start a new thread and ask what advise you need, there is quite a few people that can help.
I am looking forward to seeing your pics.

Welcome to iboats. It could be a sport and a standard. Pics are always good.

Re: What's your Whaler?

After 6 years living on an island you need a boat. Just bougth one last weekend. Can somebody tell me type and specifications of the 1974 20 ft boat as seen on the picture? I looked to various sites to find an identical one but it seems I bought not a regular type?
Thanks for info in advance.
Best regards
Hans

14' McKee Classic.
Okay, it's a wannabe.
Maybe one day it will turn into a 15' Sport.

Just got a Whaler! Montauk 17 (1998) with a 90HP 1999 motor. I had to change out trailers than what is in the picture, and will get new pictures soon. It is in great shape, and I'm really looking forward to running it

My first Whaler! An 18 point something Outrage with a 150 Merc 2 smoker, an 8 Honda 4 stroker. I think I am in love.

Sorry about the poor quality.
