We're known best for tourism and the biggest attraction for some is Butchart Gardens . It's very very popular... people come from all over the world to see it. They put on a fantastic fireworks show on Saturday nights through the summer months. We anchor out in the bay overnight and watch... it's one of the best destinations around although it's becoming kinda' busy.
Other things include;
One of largest Orca whale population.
Some of the nicest scenery... period. By that I mean unmolested forest and an unending coastline among the gulf islands.

We are known as a place where we used to log, and we used to fish for salmon, and we used to fish for rock fish. But the do gooders have figured out a way to put a stop to all of that. Now they scream that there isnt enough money for schools.

Duh, where did you think that money came from in the first place??? :eek: :eek: :eek:
