Boy this could get interesting. lol.
My hometown, where I was born, was know for tomatoes.
We had the best tomatoes....hands down.
This is the local roadside attraction when you enter Leamington, Ontario.
http://www.bigthings.ca/ontario/pictures/tomato1.jpg
Leamington only had 4 stoplights in the whole town....now they are moving up...they have about 8 now.

Now I live in Vancouver, which is know for its beautiful mountains and whale watching and much more.
http://www.daemery.com/Additional/vancouver.htm

What is your area known for? What kind of tourist stops does your town/city have?

Meth and rain. That's about it.

There used to be a fruit stand that would bring people from all over...but they replaced it with a parking lot.

From what I have seen, Oregon has some beautiful scenery.

My area is a wine producing region, the Yarra Valley. The valley is right on the edge of suburbia, about 20 miles from the city of Melbourne.

Nice mountainous scenery, valleys full of grape vines, crystal clear rivers & dams. There are lots of little boutique restaurants/cafes'. That, coupled with the wine industry, attrached bus loads of tourists.
I love it here.

Melbourne has penguin colonies that attrached tourists, especially Japanese, thousands every week. Then there is the sports, we love our sports. F1 Australian GP is in Melbourne, as is the motor bike GP (MotoGP), Australian Open, and the commonwealth games are here next year.
I love it here.

Umatilla Fl is a indian name meaning land of many lakes, also we were a big citrus area but that is going away because of the hard winters we have had. and were also know as the gateway to the Ocala national forest.

tourists and rude yankee transplants that retired to get away from rude yankee areas nd brought it with them. that and inane laws about dogs on the beach and archetectual review boards for home construction, if they dont like the color or style of the shingles they will deny the permit in some areas.
our once pristine beaches on the sound and sea are now becoming pristine sewage dumps, kinda like they did up nawth . :)
