When I was a dumb teenager I we used to go "hill hopping" in my '78 Malibu.. There were a couple big hills on some back roads that we'd hit at 60-70mph that had a "soft slope" on the backside, the airtime was was in the 3-4 second range.

i was having trouble thinking of something to comment on for this thread. yer quote brought back the memory...

except, i jumped 3 sets of railroad tracks, in the dead of the city. had a nice ramp just prior to the tracks. at about 70mph i coulda cleared 6 sets of tracks. did that in a 72 datsun 1200. very durable car for what it was. i took it into the shop for an alignment check after the fun. it was still spot on. i was in auto mechanics school at the time.

i'm lucky to be alive after my stupid stunt. even had a telephone pole to run into right by the tracks if i missed... man, i was outta control back then..

Oh man...the craziest thing. Probably booking a flight to amsterdam with 3 of my buds when I was 17. I told my parents we were going to North Dakota to tour the college. Instead we were partying our arses off in the red light district...blew all the other kiddies strip club stories out of the water at school.

I've escaped death at least 3 times but none was from actions of my own. I suppose it depends on how you classify crazy. I had already been arrested and beaten pretty good by this point but threatened by police sergant while in a choke hold and hand-cuffs literally dangling over the misssissippi river bank. That's a type of crazy I've only experienced once in my life and pray to god nobody else experiences. Had they found that "guy in the bushes" I spoke of I may not be here today.

I'm not afraid to tell my story...especially after bodies were turning up in the river.

The craziest thing I've done in the last few years was to decide to NOT ever be employed again. So far so good!
It's actually the most sane thing if I stop and think about it. I did have to throw away everything I had been taught and stop believing in everything I thought I believed in!
