What model is my Starcraft

Howdy, Got this old Starcraft but no idea what model it is. The title says it a 1969 but no model listed.
Any help will be much appreciated.

Compare your boat's length, transom width & max beam to the details listed here: Starcraft brochures

And post them here, they will assist in ID'ing a year & model.

Yours may not be a 1969, it's likely earlier. On tin SC's the bubble windshield wasn't offered in 1969, they'd gone to a different style.

Hey Doc - Follow JB's advice on checking the brochures. This might help narrow down the year, what year is the Merc or the serial number/HP? Very often a boat has the same motor during it's life. If it's the original motor we can get close to the year of the boat.

I looked, and it's likely a 1969 Merc, but the windshield is definitely earlier then 1969.

oops what I should have said is: The boat isn't a 1969, it's earlier based on the windshield, perhaps GA's right, and the motor could be a 1969.

I didn't look up the motor, I looked up the 1969 SC brochure:

Are the fiberglass SC's ID-able thru hull & cap color like tin is? Is it white on white?

My 66 had the same windshield with the slanted posts as the ones in the brochure pics JB posted above. The full wrap-around was earlier. Although Looking through the brochures the newer style W/S was phased in depending on model. Or I was dreaming that.

Don't know if the glass SCs colors can ID like the tinnies. According to this post, Merc band colors can ID a range of years, red is late 60's through about 1971. http://forums.iboats.com/mercury-mariner-outboards/blue-red-band-304811.html

So 1969 is still a remote possibility for the un-ID'ed Starcraft model if the W/S can be matched. Maybe.

How about a couple more pics? We need the length and a couple shots of the top, interior, etc. Cant really id a boat from the windshield and the motor.

Here's what I got for measurements. Boat still in storage so no new pics yet. ( also a work in progress ) It is a " glasser " but I only paid 50 bucks boat,motor, and trailer. Also I'm an old auto body guy so not afraid of fiberglass. Anyway, I got 5'4 at transom, 6' at widest, and 15 feet long. Thanks for all your help.

hey, if you're willing to do the grinding, we're happy to cheer you on. welcome to the great unwashed mass! good buy.......even if the boat were toast and motor had no compression, you could get your $ back just parting stuff.

Beautiful day here in Wisconsin. I managed to pull her out in the sun and shot a couple more photos.Motor number should read 2486537. Hope these help. Thanks!

OK Doc the best I can tell is you have a 64 Del Ray. The measurements are real close and they only made that bow topside/top of the dash mold for two years-63 and 64. I don't have a 63 brochure and the one on our brochures page is horrible so I cant make out the names of the boats.

BTW these boats were the Starcraft hybrids-Fiberglass hulls with Aluminum gunwales. Let me know if this is the case on your boat and if so then we have a match!

Also 1965 was the last year for the wrap around windshields.

And FYI folks. Some of the brochures on our brochures page are mis-labeled and are off by a year.

uh, GA, you should try to find documentation on the LESS common brands of tinnies.......we have it good by comparison.
