What is this?

I assume this is some sort of exhaust shutter?
It was sitting at the end of the exhaust bellows.
I could use some guidance on what to do here.

Pulled the leg off to store for winter, found this?
I don't know much about it, but It appears I have some work infront of me this winter.

What a coincidence.....

I spoke to a couple of mechanics yesterday and decided to wait until spring as I have the boat winterized already.

Me too, but I'd like to get the parts in order.
Then again I won't really know how badly I need replacements until I pull that elbow off, it looks horrible from the outside.
And after my H/E issue, I can't be all that good from the inside either.
