What do you shave with?

I know, I am old fashioned, what can I say? My wife asks me why I shave with a straight razor and I don't really have an answer other than I get a certain satisfaction from keeping it sharp and knowing I'll never spend money on blades or run out of them. When I first began shaving, (back when Columbus landed in the new world ) there were two choices, a straight razor or "saftey blades" and my gramps used a straight razor and taught me how to care for one and use it. The following Christmas I recieved a new one of my own along with a shaving mug and I still use the razor today. (The mug was broken long ago.)

Yeah, I've tried other methods but just never liked them much. I've never found anything that gave a closer shave. So, what do you use to remove the daily growth?

I have my grandfathers straight edge, however I dont use it. I use a knock off triple blade...And my woman is 100% responsible for her own personal needs...lol

Depends on my mood, I have the throw away triple blades, a couple of electrics and have used a straight razor, it just depends.

I hate shaving so much, that I have actually thought about those chemical removers! I tried to grow a beard, that didn't work out, could not get over the ichies...

That might be feasable, except for the fact, have you ever tried plowing or shoveling with a beard on your face? Not a pretty sight once it starts freezing up!!!

Just consider it jaw insullation. The only thing I hate is the frozen snotsies in the stash!!!

Tried the beard once, itch drove me nuts in about 6 days.

Friend of mine had a beard years go, tried to convince a young lady to go for a hay ride...

No electric I've tried seems to give me a close enough shave. My current Remington rotary one (looks like a Norelco) is the worst yet. Basically I use the Remington to do a quick mow down then shave with a Shick triple blade in the shower. I hate shaving.

Twin blade disposable or rotary electric depending on where Im am in the world and how much time I have to devote to it. Often it is electric on the go !!!

Had a beard since 18.
With my beard: Sean Connery in "Hunt for Red October"(there are doubters??..good call..):facepalm:
Without: Buck Owens in "Hee Haw"

Daily a Braun electric around the beard.
My trusty 30+ year old Atra after the weekend. No...not the same blades.
Wahl groomer to keep it in check.

just a cheapo double blade BIC, always in the shower, no cleanup, lately I shave maybe every other day - at my work, they just dont care, as long as we are being safe

A NORELCO 3 header, then one of those 4 blade glide ones in the shower from time to time

Ayuh,... I shave in the shower with whatever brand of disposables were at Sam's Club the last time I needed a 100 pack....
The latest 1s are some blue, 'n green 1s...

Oh,... 'n I'll Gladly shave the ole Lady, Whenever, 'n Whereever She wants,....
