its a z-hinge or offset piano hinge.

well i found pictures of it. i cant seem to find where to buy one. i looked at McMaster.com, e bay, West marine everywhere i could think of.

It looks like a right angle piano hinge. You could buy a wide piano hinge and have it bent 90 degrees. OR, you could modify the hinge attaching setup and go for a straight piano hinge and change the hatch. Whatever you decide to do, buy a stainless steel version. Then it won't rust out. JMHO!
