I liked the old layout personally. This seems to be really scroll intensive with 25 comments to a page... less is best.

It's vBulletin 4.1 and the same look is available for all web sites. The www.marineengine.com is a good web site and it has gone through it's changes too. Very similar to people who drive the same make, model, color and year car....... once it is finished being set up with subtle changes it will be fine.

That site looks very much like the old I-boats, Blue bar at top of posts, and user avatar on left user stats (join date, # posts, location) on right. I think if those same changes were made here it would really bring back the old iboats feel with all of the new featues. (Delray you getting this )

Just spent some time poking around and I have to say I like it, nice new look, seems more modern and you can get to "My post" easier(once they have that part up).

When I first got on I though my computer wigged out and sent me to the wrong place, it will take some getting used to but well done guys, me likey.

Not bad but heads up would have been nice. Thought I was in the wrong place at first.

Yep, more posts, higher rank. Doesn't matter if the posts are a waste of bandwidth, or give valuable information. A post is a post is a post and the more you post, the higher your pay grade and perks (key to the officer's lounge and officer's head, etc.)

I have become extremely resistant to change for change sake! Some of the past changes were quite painfull. So far, this one seems to be going pretty smooth.

That being said, I am sure that iboats had good reason to upgrade and don't forget all, we have been thru these changes/upgrades before and they usually get everything massaged back to more familiar appearances.

How are You supposed to look at pictures?
The pictures are in the middle 1/3 of the moniter and only
1/3 of the picture is shown.
It's no fun having to scroll side to side to view .
I hope they work this out.

The sign in section at the top has changed and I cant see the "sign in" part. Its hard to tell if I have signed in..whats wrong?

I came here as I couldn't stand the marineengine site and really liked what I found. A few weeks later and I was really disappointed to open up and find this mess. Colours and definition of the previous were great but this washed out look doesn't do anything for me.
