Just spent some time poking around and I have to say I like it, nice new look, seems more modern and you can get to "My post" easier(once they have that part up).

When I first got on I though my computer wigged out and sent me to the wrong place, it will take some getting used to but well done guys, me likey.

Re: What do we think of the new site?

i haven't decided yet. i liked it the way it was. very easy to navigate. now i have to learn to navigate the new site.
i sure was surprised by the new format though when i opened iboats this morning. wow...
guess it's like everything else... might as well embrace the change. it always happens (with everything) and there's no controlling it from the user end..

LOL I'm sure that it will be fine once we get use o the changes. It just seems that we (most) don't like changes. Whether it is better or not. I used the "new posts" a lot and can't figure out how to do that. And with the old forum under New Posts everything was included. "Not engine topic" "trailers and towing" and so on, I liked that. But like I said. I'm sure after a few times here we will be just fine. HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone...

Ayuh,... When I got up this morning, the site was down for maintenance... Complete with a banner saying so...

My guess is, something went terribly Wrong, 'n it's still beig Fixed...

What I'm seeing right now is the default of the v-bull software... No ads, No nothin'...

I thought I was in the wrong web site. I liked it the way it was but this is pretty cool too. Liked the old smileys better ,for sure.

Like Boat1010 says we and me included hate the change stuff but I am sure once we all figure it out it will be OK.I would rather it did not change but thats not up to me anyway to decide...So we live on....

Not liking it!!!
Maybe it's 'incomplete'

The profile runs into the post.
No icons
Very 'generic' looking very plain and drab
I can't tell if I'm logged in!

Should I go on?

Re: What do we think of the new site?

Seems like all the boating forums I visit (only forums I visit are boating related) are using this format. It takes some getting used to but it is ok. As the saying goes.....beggars can't be choosers.....

I am curious though......our sponsor IBoats is a "store" and I would think (and expect) that they want users / readers to have easy access to the "store" and I don't see that here???

EDIT: Just noticed the links to the store on top of the page - wasn't there before!

I use to have vboard on my sites but had a ton of the members complain. But that was 3-4 years back and I like a few things I see here. At least now you can upload

This is definitely 'not' the new site. No advertising or anything. Something is going on either something went wrong or we are going to get a new site but its still being worked on. Probably some flash based advertising issues.

Re: What do we think of the new site?

I don't mind the default, but I have a feeling it's still a work in progress. I'm just hoping there's a mobile-friendlier version when it's all done. I want to be able to view/post to the forums easier on my iPhone.

Re: What do we think of the new site?

I agree with Bond-o, the first time I tried to log in I got the down for maintenance message also, then a little later I got partially this and now this view. I think something bad happened and they are still working on it.

Not finished yet. Too soon to judge.

The curmudgeon in me hates any change, but this looks friendly so far. . .and it seems a lot faster, too. :)

Yeah, banners are showing now, the Super Geeks are still playing. Give it some time. I don't believe Search is back yet, but will be.

"My Replies" is found under "Quick Links" and then "Subscribed Threads" Two clicks, but works very well . . . ;)
