getting ready to install a 2001 yamaha 130 v4 2 stroke on my 190 ccf. original engine (johnson 115) was installed so that cavitation plate was about 1 inch from the bottom of the boat (boat uses a stepped transom with about 7 inches setback). Do you guys advise just mounting the yamaha so that the cav plate is the same height as the engine I removed? unfortunately I have not even driven the boat yet so I don't know how it performed with the johnson 115 but seller didn't mention any issues/ thanks

my 1997 190 ccf is about to get a 2001 yamaha 130 2 stroke installed. There is no room in the transom area for the oil tank. I think I have to put it on the floor of my center console. I will run a remote oil filler plate to the side of the console around where the 190 ccf decal is. Seem like a good idea?

I still had a concern because the rule of thumb was 1 inch up for every 12 inches of setback but I only have about 7 inches of setback. And I was hoping to get info from owners of the same boat. Sorry
