Hello everyone, this is my first post on here and had recently bought my first boat to restore.
i ended up having to redo the transom and floors so i took the top cap of my boat. 2 weeks later i was ready to put everything back together but had a real pain butting the cap on. found that the transom was a little too thick so i ended up chizzeling a bit off to make it fit. once it was down to size and i was able to squeeze all the sides back in i realized that the front of the cap sticks out about an inch and a half over the bottom. seems like my hull got shorter lol. is there anything i can do or should i just fill it with fiberglass and call it a lesson learned?
