Re: Vape!!!

lets have an answer im interested.i do know that up until they banned it they use to dust organic plants with nicotine.it was called tobacco dust .

Speaking of organic and the latest craze that media has again managed to get consumers to buy into.

Do you guys have any idea where all of the organic feed farmers use to feed their animals, comes from? Take one wild guess?
It should make those who eat organic rethink paying all that extra $$ for.

Any one care to guess?

I'll take a wild guess, but hope you'll provide your answer. Here goes - Organic livestock feed comes from plants, not animals.

Re: Vape!!!

Sorry to keep some waiting on that Organic question I raised. Over 90% of the feed that is used to feed livestock that is then sold as 100% organic in the US comes from China!!
It's kind of like what the criteria is that makes an American made product "certified American". The general public is being hood winked to think they are getting one thing except, if you read close you will see it is not what you think. Quick example: Parts made in Mexico are brought into the US, a small hole is then de-burred, and "Bam" that part is now certified as "made in America".
So back to organic, do you really think the Chinese treat organic feed in the same fashion as Americans do? I admit I haven't done volumes of research about this stuff, I'm not a big user of organic anything, I just use common sense. It is my opinion that the term organic is used in ways to "sell" product, and mislead the consumer for profit here in America. All the soccer mom's thinking they are doing their families better buy spending all that extra $$ on Organic, might want to do some research, to see what they really are getting.
I hunt and fish, so I know where my meat comes from. The buy American thing is just an example to show some of you the reality of what big business is doing to you. They are playing us for fools, if you want my opinion. Do your own research if you feel I'm miss-leading you in any way.
Just like big tobacco does, the voice of "us" is not how it works anymore. I hope that wasn't too political, my intent was to explain the reality of marketing scare tactics on gullible consumers, e-cigs are right in the mix.
Makes you want to go start your own garden eh??

Re: Vape!!!

I will control myself, no politics just the facts.
1. A proven and effective smoking cessation method
2. NO reported cases of injury or health issues with ecigs
3. Even with the strongest nicotine dose available it is still LESS that what you get from a normal cigarette.
4. SATISFIES the visual and fidgeting aspects of smoking

NO other cessation program comes close.

Really. If those are facts, please list your sources. Otherwise, it's just your opinion...........

WDIO.com - MPCA: Poisonings from E-Cigarette Liquid Up Sharply

Don't get me wrong. If e-cigs are safer than regular cigs and help people who want to quit smoking stop smoking, then I'm all for them. I just wonder how many people, especially kids, who have never smoked are using e-cigs because it's the latest craze?

There are no state or federal laws requiring manufacturers of e-juice to disclose ingredients

That's the scary part of the article......

The electronic cigarette liquid has kid-friendly flavors, including cotton candy, bubble gum and grape.

That's the sad part, marketing to kids....

Re: Vape!!!

Not having read through all these numerous comments, I have one serious question being a non-smoker for a huge huge personal reason. IF a person takes up E-cigs and uses nicotine vapor and inhales that vapor to get the nicotine drug from that vapor, does it not seem that some of that vapor does not transfer to the lungs and therefore gets expelled out again? I mean just using simple logic I don't think every bit of the nicotine vapor is 100% transferred. I could be completely wrong (have been so many times before) but I don't see it as not being second-hand nicotine that other will breath in... So in effect, even E-cigs can have second-hand effects on others...does that make any sense? Not trying to start an argument or issue, just want to see if others see it that way or not.

Re: Vape!!!

I still haven't seen one thing that explains (without emotion or bias) what nicotine does to the user that is bad. And when I say that, under the dosage that would come form an e-cig.

I think gm280 is talking second hand e-cig vapor. If so, please, I beg you, consider the dilution of the diluted second hand vapor. Think logically. If 2.2 mg (made up) is going into the lungs over the entire say 10 minute experience, and then 50% is exhaled, and a room has 400 units of air (made up) then this 1.1 (50%) mg is within the 400 units of air, and say you breathe in as a victim 10% of that 400 units (made up), then you would theoretically be exposed to 1.1 mg / 400 x .1, right? or .000275 mg? One of you guys that does this stuff better than me please check my math.

And PLEASE note, I neither smoke nor Vape!!! I just want unbiased info, which I know is impossible, but we could try.

That article was about INGESTING the juice and nicotine poisoning. You can say the same for spray paint, glue, coffee beans etc. The only documented report of injury was a battery exploding but that happens with cell phones too. The comparison between real cigs and ecigs is like day and night.
