Triton 175 rear deck removal

I'm trying to recarpet my boat. I have been trying to get the rear casting deck off for 3 days with no luck. I've gone over it five million times to see if i've missed anything.But I don't see anything at all. It literally won't budge! I can't find build schematics anywhere for this boat either. Surely someone has pulled this thing off or had to change the gas tank or something, somewhere. Please help!!!

Someone, please tell me they have some knowledge about this! Been fighting this for 3 days and I can't get it to come out or even budge! I'm glad everything off (that needs to be) and i've got everything loose. I've pulled and pushed and pried, but nothing changes. I'm trying to redo my carpet

most likely there will be screws thru the carpet and casting deck.

Sometimes, the rear pedestal seats have a bar going all the way down to the inner hull for support. You may need to seperate that. I've also seen the decks themselves with these supports.

It says my file is too large to post a pic. Yes, i've gotten all of the screws off of the deck.

Yes, there are 2 bars going across. But the deck is loose from that as I took the pedestal off

If you're on android, look at the top right of your camera screen. It probably says 64M, tap it and it will change to 12M. It's the resolution of the pictures you're taking, 12 is still perfectly visible and will upload here.

Also, you can go into your photo gallery,bselect the picture you want, pencil icon at the bottom, three dots at the top right, select resize. Select the lowest option and save. This will not save as a copy, so make one first if you want to keep the original resolution.

I bet you just missed a screw or there might be a broken one. I've searched with a pick tool for what felt like hours hunting down one missed screw hiding in the carpet.

That's what i'm thinking it's just a missed screw or two. I just don't know how to access them or find them

Lift up and get a feel for where it's held down, then poke around with a pick for an eternity until you find it.

Since you're recarpeting anyway, why not just rip the carpet up from the casting deck? Have you taken the livewell bolts out?

We have a Triton in now, but it's front and rear decks are glass and part of the cap.

if the screw is 18-8 (most likely), they are mildly magnetic.

you can use a cheap $2 stud finder (the cheesy ones with the swinging magnet)

I now have a magnet and a couple of wedges. Hopefully this will reveal what i'm missing.

What do you mean live well bolts? The panel is loose all the way around the live well

I'm not exactly sure what style livewell you have, but many are plastic ones that have machine screws securing them to the casting deck. If this is the case for you, open the lid above the livewell and feel around the the livewell ceiling for the nuts.

I got it out!! I found a screw on either side hidden by carpet! I used a magnet and it found them! Thanks everyone for your help!
