transom crack

i just got and repowered a 23ft center console sea ray it has a 3-4" crack on the sides of the engine the prevous owner put something looks like 5200 for a cheap repair . wondering what to do. maybe some type of expoxy to fix it better

Are the cracks in the gel coat or the fiberglass? Those cracks may be evidence of a weak transom......time to do more investigating

in the fiberglass i just put a johnson 250 on it and i can stand on and shake and the transom seem solid. i looked under and didnt see any rot.im the new owner and i dont know how it happened but i want to fix the mess.
