Unit is under water 10" still nothing I posted a video or trying tostop trying to pump water from a tote. if it works, you are lucky. these pumps are flood to prime, meaning the water level must be 6" or more above the impeller or use muffs.
to get water 6" or more above the impeller, the boat must be in a tote big enough to get the drives submerged.
Unit is under water 10" still nothing I posted a video or trying to. 1/2" Dewalt electric drill wide open I would assume 300 or more
Not spinning g the shaft unless spinning the motor... correct? So how are you spinning the shaft?
I actually heated up a 7/8 deep 12 pt socket and. Tweeked it until it fit snugly on shaft then welded bolt thru end and using 1/2" Dewalt vari drill. Works nicelyNot spinning g the shaft unless spinning the motor... correct?
What are we spinning withe the drill?
Now I'm baffled...I actually heated up a 7/8 deep 12 pt socket and. Tweeked it until it fit snugly on shaft then welded bolt thru end and using 1/2" Dewalt vari drill. Works nicely
Fits tight as to not damage shaft !! Almost like it was made for it
Prop is OFF and it is in neutral !!! Plugged oil hole on fin and added oilNow I'm baffled...
Are you spinning the prop shaft while in neutral?? I'm not an ace technician like most of these guys on here but don't think that will work
Start your own thread. Don't hijack threadsI am having a similar issue. Does the copper tubing need to have a decent seal where it connects with the power head to allow for a good vacuum for the stream? I blew into the pisser with a mouthful of water while my outboard was in the water and I could hear air bubbles where there was an air leak just under the power head. Trying to figure out if this is a big deal or not before I start to tear that part of the motor apart.
Apologies. It seemed relevant to the conversation but I can look elsewhere for an answer.Start your own thread. Don't hijack threads
Not really, this is the Merc inboard outboard forum. Apparently you are asking about an outboard. Different beast for the most part. No need to apologize, just ask away on your own thread.Apologies. It seemed relevant to the conversation but I can look elsewhere for an answer.
