Holy smokes Agua! Glad that it all ended well for you. Was the skeeter damaged?
I think I'll wait till winter to splash my Duracraft and try to avoid all that drama at the ramp.
Hey Man, what did your top end speed wind up being? I know in the big scheme of things it really doesn't matter, but I am just curious.
I hit a wall at 48 with a 23"p prop, either hull design, all the wind resistance with double windshields or both. She'll get there in a blink of an eye and a mighty howl though. I don't want to prop up even more for fear of stressing out the gears in the outdrive by going to a 25" or 27"p just to gain a few MPH and break the barrier. I can still most likely claim the title of fastest I/O Chief on iboats though.
Watch, WM. You'll be having a heat wave. But you know now about the bellows. :thumb: Now about the little bit of water, Any ideas?
I'll be gone for the next week or so hunting Elk at a mile high so now I have some peace of mind when sitting at the campfire.
Yeah the water in the bilge it bothers me, I thought I have everything sealed up.I do have some suspicions to look into this spring.
Good luck Waterman - hope you get your elk. Only thing that smells worse than a bull elk in rut - is a successful elk hunter after hauling the beast out.
And nothing tastes better - than sauteed onions and elk backstrap. Worth the work.

Hey Watermann! just wanted to let you know that this thread inspired me GREATLY! I'm getting a little older, not much (45), so seeing older things become new again is fun for me to watch. You did an EXCELLENT job and I enjoyed going through the restoration page by page to see your progress. I'm not quite as adventurous as you are but dang, you've got me considering a pontoon rebuild. Thank you for including us on your rebuild!
