Amazing how much happens when your gone for a week, she is looking awesome H2O, really like the dash. Watch for those errant screws that like to mess with your wiring job:facepalm:

I remember your little mishap Glen, I use almost all rivets attaching anything or machine screws and nylocs. I even used some solids on the dash side support but machine screws and nylocs on the top piece for when I have to remove it.

Thanks for the encouraging words and pat on the back guys. Checking some things off the list. If you guys haven't decided on stern tie downs let me give these Boat Buckles a plug. The way they retract like car seat belts along with the strength and width of the strap have convinced me they're worth the coin. They also look really nice and you don't have to go find them... ever.

Sanding oxidized Merc black, feathering out gouges and scrapes. I now have a green upper outdrive. Before painting it I would like to know if any of you guys have feed back about using the same tractor enamel.

Yeah I have new vent and drain plugs so that's why I'm just spraying over the mauled ones.

With the hardener added, I see no reason not to use the same enamel you did on the hull.

It's going to be trailered, and there's a whole lot more real estate in the hull you've already painted with it. Plus it won't see any more or less water immersion then the outdrive will.

I primed and painted the transom assembly and gimbal ring, and bell housing on the Holiday with rustolium spray bombs and it seems to holding up real good.

Today is the start of my resto blitz week off of work, so far this is whats on the short list. A heat wave is coming here 100+ weather with winds up to 30 MPH some of the days. I also hope to get on the water fishing in the SN if the winds are calm.

Finish seating - Done
Pitot tube and temp sensor install - Everything is through the hull, clam shelled and sealed up with 5200 - Done
Boat buckles that need mounts fabricated - Done

Outdrive on and lower unit off to replace water pump / repairs & maybe paint - Upper outdrive is primed and in process of painting, decals on order.
Fuel and fire up the MC on muffs
Rub rail and caps
Smart tabs install
Transom cover, vents and blower line
Sun deck/engine cover build
Swim ladder
Upper windshield (no more garage time once windshield is on)
Hull numbers - On order and have current registration tabs.

Addition -
Clean up and secure all the wiring/cables.
Window for side of cabin was cut too large by a couple mm's, not sure what to do on it?
Bimini top - On order.

If all goes well, keeping fingers crossed-

Splash!!!

Water - I'll go do some minor work on mine. Between Dozer and me, we should keep Murph distracted so you can knock the list out. With 100° days, drink plenty of Gatorade or Powerade. Stop reading this place and Go Blitz and Splash!

Blast furnace hot here even out of the sun in the garage, fans going and powerade flowing. The pic below shows you whats coming next, a fire up vid, (keeping fingers crossed) I think I have all the kinks worked out now and she's ready to fire up. Towed her down to the ethanol free premium pump, 10 gallons in and the fuel gauge worked! 1/3 of a tank. Once that's done I'm on to covering up the motor.

She's gonna look good with new decals. I see you can knock the tabs off the list, too. Can you smell the water?

Everything went perfectly as you can see in the vid, IR temp on the risers 108 / 112 after 20 min running. The V6 is so dang quiet at an idle even without a cover and runs smooth as silk. PS line needed tightened as it dripped some, manifold petcock dripped and I forgot to tighten the PS cooler line. Other than that no problems at all, goes in and out of forward and reverse fine too.

Now on to cleaning up the wiring mess before getting the transom cover on and then rub rail and caps.

Yeah man... I can see the finish line and smell the water. I will try to get out this weekend for the splash and shakedown cruise.
