Thanks for the buzz by guys, I really appreciate the encouragement. Next up is to get the decking riveted/screwed down, hatches hinged and the windows in the cabin. Now I just need to convince my buddy at the glass shop to get that lower windshield finished for me. I plan on doing away with the lower windshield T bolts and use a wet seal and rivets to keep it in place. The upper one will need the T bolts so I'm scrounging around to see what I can use for that sourced locally.

Try this video again after the week of posts got purged. Was in sort of a hurry with a big wind and rain storm moving in on us so I cut it short and had my buddy help get the manifolds aligned up.

If you weren't on dry land I would say you had one of the Deadliest Catch cranes movin' the motor around like a crab pot. :D Good job and you're getting closer to the "S" day.

Yeah it's almost like a treat now to see someone squeak a post through this mess. I'm going to be giving the Chief some more attention this month now that I've got to do a bunch of fishing in the SN during May. All the finish work left to be done should be a little easier than the toil of tear down and rebuild.

This is a plastic melting brown truck in the driveway week for me. 2 helm chairs, 2 auxiliary seats, steering wheel, switch panel, 12 yards of vinyl, vents, horns, plywood for panels/bulkheads and aluminum trim. Still need to find some rub rail too and I can't remember which rr fits. Tough to search the forum now...

PM SIgSaur, he just got the rubrail insert I think

EDIT: Sorry WM, I forgot the PM system isn't doing any better then the system as a whole. Just pop over to the SilverLining thread, Time to get started...... and ask Nick what rubrail he ordered. I figure what he ordered will fit yours

The new PM inbox system wants you to do a download from a 3rd party and tries to include a couple of garbage programs. Not sure I like that? Yeah after some digging I think the Wefco 0101G looks like it should fit, not sure if Sig got that RR.

Yep we have discussed the rubrail in my thread. She is looking awesome coming to the home stretch I Coordinated a splash date with Dozer last time so what do you think wanna coordinate a splash date with the Silver Lining?

Finish work in some ways is a ton easier in others not so much. I find that I knit pick everything in the finish work and it always takes twice as long as what I want. *stomps foot like my two year old I WANT IT ON THE WATER NOOOWWWW!!!!!"

The UPS guy and I know each other on a first name basis now and he has asked to take a ride on the pontoon he is a really cool guy.

I've been working on some smalls here after work each night, got the cabin bulkheads cut out, fitted and sealed with spar. Also got the side panels done up the same and fitted the controls. Decided to re-use the donor controls after shopping for a new one. Cabin compartments hinged and trimmed. Decided I'm going to work from the bow back rather than running around tinkering from one end to the other. Should have a bunch of parts coming in n Friday so all of the boxes sitting around should stir my ambition level some too.

Sig I think you're quite a ways ahead of me in the fit and finish do you have a rough target date in mind for the SL getting wet?

Wow. What an amazing transformation! I like to think of myself as handy but seeing the work you guys put into these restorations is astounding. Add to it the level of quality and it's staggering. You will likely have a better than new boat that you can take so much pride in. Heck we were going to replace the floor in our 16' Starcraft this year, we even bought the Coosa board then the boat bug hit hard and we ended up with a new boat and sold the old one without doing anything to it.

I see you have RR coming from over in Sig's SL thread. :thumb:

You mentioned the new PM system earlier. You don't have to install anything to use it it. What does happen is the Google ad business puts up an ad for some inbox viewer junk, but you just ignore it. Only a Google spam ad. I actually like the new PM stuff over the old way.

Thanks for stopping by my thread Doug and the kind words. It's a ton of work resurrecting these old boats but it's worth every minute and the coin.

Found an actual good use for truck bed liner when boat restoring. I was wondering what I could use to add a non-skid pad to my trailer step pads.

The anticipated flood of parts and brown trucks turned out to be a trickle of items that I need later after the parts that aren't here yet. Always seems to be how things go, so maybe next week I can get down to business.

Parts are in the trucks being delayed :mad-new: and Joanne has been sitting on my vinyl order for a week without shipping. :grumpy:

I used a rattle bomb bed liner in a can, masked it off and shot 3 light coats.

Got all of the floors screwed / riveted down, hatches in cabin trimmed out, 3 cleats on bow, cabin trim , painted inner side of the cabin bulkheads, finished the side panels and now need the vinyl to get them installed. Tested out my new dual trumpet horn to make sure it worked before the install. Sounds kinda like a freight train and loud as heck. Bet the neighbors were wondering what was going on.
