The carpet made a big difference in the appearance. They look very professional.
Been there and done that with bad tires. Good to hear you care about the next owner..

Hey Decker, yeah I have consideration for people but as you'll read below it turned out I have to keep those new tires on the ugly galvanized wheels

Got the new tires on the galvanized wheels, found out the offset on the alloy wheels puts the tire in contact with the inner fender skirts and it would only get worse with weight... price on the that trailer just went up

I asked for the 1 good tire to be put on my spare wheel, guy loaded them in my truck... I see the spare now has the old tire with the gouge in it... oh boy. Me: Hey man that's the wrong tire on my spare. Guy: "Oh uh, yeah the other tire had the bead stuck to the rim and it ripped up dismounting". Me: uh yeah okay.

Also the galvanized spare tire holder doesn't kick out enough to clear the winch tower bow stop with a spare on it.

Bad week for tire stuff I guess, oh well press on.

Sorry about the tire issues man. Can you put the old spare tire back on?

The old spare tire was a really old 205 that wasn't an ST and with the new ones being 215 STs I just wanted it to match.

New tire is 65 bucks, I'll probably just go get another new one and be done with it.

Nothing really special other than welding on the Fulton swing away hinges with 2' of extra tongue. Adding new trailer components and attention to the hub bearings and seals is probably the most important job. Next will be fabricating the boat buckle trailer tube attachments. Let me know if there's some things your interested in doing that I can help with.

I was referring to your entire build. Ive looked at other builds and most of the pics show up but none on yours for some reason. Thought maybe it had to do with the photobucket problem everyone ran into a while back and that maybe removed your pics. Or is it just me?

Weird stuff going on with the new "update" we got, I use Onedrive for my pic hosting and so far it's very reliable.

The trailer is sold already the same day I swapped and the galvanized trailer now has the SS on it. I have a couple things to do then I'll post up some pics.

Still struggling with the 1995 Merc, , low RPMs at WOT and a test showed the high side of the stator is way out of specs. New stator on the truck, looks like Monday.

Too bad about the Merc , you've already put a lot of work into it. Guess the previous owner was an abuser from the condition of the motor. At least you have good compression so you know there is light at the end of the tunnel. Here's to hoping the stator is your last problem with the Mercury .

The guy was more into neglect that border lined on abuse

It's the price you pay when you get a motor that "ran great 5 years ago" for a good deal. I'll get her figured out and going sooner or later. Had the same happen but different issues with the Merc TOP and I got it going good too.

Those who have followed along my journeys have no doubt seen many pics with my tow vehicle, the old blue Chevy Silverado. Well it's been handed off to my son and I have a 2018 Silverado to tow with now.

The poor thing sat on a local dealership lot for months and nobody wanted it. I saw it and fell for the less than loaded, one step up from a work truck LT model. No gizmos, gadgets or power heated seats, double cab not crew and it's just a truck that didn't even have a tow receiver.

I do enjoy the direct injected 5.3L V8 with 355 HP. Now I'm spending more time customizing it to my liking when I should be doing boat work

Class IV receiver first off, rhino liner in the bed, front end leveling kit, floor liners, mud flaps, 1500 cordura seat covers in Typhoon Kryptek camo, Diamondback bed cover, bug deflector and vent visors for the windows. Some I've done already and other stuff is on the the way.

She's a beauty Agua! The salt brine they dump on the roads out here was my '01 chevy's silver bullet. I also went with white on my "repower" and hopefully annual fluid film treatments will keep it that color

With all of that extra power, you can tow/drag 2 waterlogged glassers home at a time

I’m in one myself. Great trucks. Best GM has ever offered IMO. I do not like the 2019’s. I like the black rims on white. Good combo

Smart man.

She sure looks nice. You'll like it even though the bells and whistles are limited.

4X4 ?

Yeah same here on the 2019 models, rounded fenders are alright but the other changes give me pause to ask WTH... WHY?
